Elementary Basketball FAQ's
What: Elementary girls basketball program
When: 1 practice per week, games on Saturday mornings
Where: Doe Run Gramby St gym
Why: Intro to a lifetime of basketball!
How: Signups on 9/24 and 10/8 from 10am - noon at Burgard Café
Cost: Free!
If you have any questions in regards to the program, please contact Casey at the email to the right.
Please pass the word onto other potential and returning players. Since we are no longer able to distribute to each teacher, we need your help in spreading the word! Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, email, or a good old fashioned face-to-face conversation.

We are creating a summer league team for girls at an evaluation day on Monday March 7th. The evaluation will be held from 645-800 at the Gramby gym.

Summer league specifics:
- Helps girls improve playing skills
- Will help girls prepare for travel team tryouts this fall
- Team will play against other schools in age group of girls entering 5th grade in fall
- Girls entering 4th grade this fall may participate
- Practices will begin in April/May
- Practices will be held Sunday nights from 5-6pm at Middle School outdoor courts
- Games will be held Monday nights during June/July
- At least 7 game nights
- All games held at Brandon Park in Lancaster
- Team price of $225 divided amongst players
- Team shirts will probably cost less than $10

Open Gyms
Schedule for the next couple weeks:
March 1 5-6pm 2/3/4 Grades
6-7pm 4/5/6 Grades
March 8 5-6pm 2/3/4 Grades
6-7pm EVALUATION FOR 5th GRADE SUMMER LEAGUE( for all girls interested that are currently in 3/4 Grade)
March 15 5-6pm 2/3/4 Grades
6-7pm 4/5/6 Grades
Open gyms are a chance for girls to improve skills and techniques with/against other players. Current 4th Grade students may attend either age group or both if they are really ambitious. The older group will have increasingly harder drills than the younger group.
Also, please note the evaluation time if you are interested in summer league. This league is for girls entering 5th Grade next year. All girls currently in 3rd or 4th Grade are welcome.

SEMIFINALISTS!
Both travel teams advanced to the semifinals of their respective playoffs by winning on Saturday afternoon.
The 6th Grade team took the court against LS Blue and won by a 7 point margin. Just a couple hours later, the 5th Grade played on the same court and used a miraculous comeback to win 34-30 after falling behind 14-1.
The 6th Grade team faces CV on Wednesday night @ 720 in Landisville.
The 5th Grade faces St. Leo on Thursday night @ 720 in CV.
Play hard girls!!!
