Cancelled Games on Jan. 24

Cancelled games on January 24th will not be made up.  There are two regular season games left in the season.  They will be played on January 31st and February 7th. 

All teams make playoffs.  Playoff games will begin February 14th.

Clock Workers & Score Keepers NEEDED

We need clock workers and score keepers to help keep the clock and score of the intramural league games.  Please offer your help to the Intramural League Coordinator (Kristen Robeson or Maddy Novak) if you are available during your child's basketball game.  They will be looking for people to help.

Next Steps for Intramural League

We had a successful evaluation of all girls in the youth program.  A huge THANK YOU to all of the parents, coaches, and high school basketball players who helped with evaluations.

 

This is a reminder that players in the intramural league only have ONE practice a week.  It will be on either Tuesdays OR Fridays.  We have four teams practicing on Tuesdays and four teams practicing on Fridays.

 

 

 Here is a timeline of what will be occurring the next few weeks for the INTRAMURAL LEAGUE.

 

Wednesday - Thursday - Evaluations will be reviewed and rosters will be created.

Friday, November 7th - Roster lists will be administered to the coaches via email.

Sunday, November 9th  - Over the weekend, coaches will contact parents via email/phone.  They will inform you of day/time of practice.

Monday, November 10th - Practice/Game schedules will be sent via email and posted on the blog.

 

 

Monday, November 10th - Possible Practice day for two teams
Tuesday, November 11th  - First practice for first four teams No Practices - Parent-Teacher conferences
Wednesday, November 12th - Possible Practice day for two teams

Friday, November 13th - First practice for four teams

Saturday, November 22nd - FIRST GAMES for ALL TEAMS

Intramural League Evaluations

Intramural League Evaluations will be on Tuesday, November 4th.

Evaluations will be at Doe Run on Gramby!

Travel league team members do not attend this evaluation.  Their evaluation was at Try Outs.

 

5:00-6:30- 2/3/4th grade girls

6:30-8:00- 5/6 grade girls

 

All girls playing in the intramural basketball league must attend the evaluation.  Please contact Amanda Burns at jburns623@gmail.com if your daughter is unable to attend the evaluation.  The evaluation helps in creating equal teams in the league.



Try Outs for Travel League

  We will have two travel teams, Travel Team A and  Travel Team B, for girls in 4/5/6 grade.  Please come out and try out for the Travel Teams!  The reschedule dates and times are below.

Girls will be notified at 6:30 on Thursday, October 30th of which league they will be playing in (travel league or intramural league).



Open Gyms Rescheduled

Open gyms will be at the High School for all 3/4 and 5/6 graders from 5:30-6:30.

Open Gyms Cancelled

Open gyms are cancelled at Doe Run on Monday, October 20th and Thursday, October 23rd due to the school closing.

Open gyms will be from 6:30-8:00 for girls in 5th and 6th grade at Doe Run!

5th & 6th Grade Open Gyms

We will be having open gyms in October for the 5th and 6th grade girls.  The open gyms will be at Doe Run from 6:00-8:00!   The girls will work on many basketball skills. 

 

Try to attend the open gyms if your daughter is thinking about trying out for the Travel Teams.  These open gyms allow the coaches to see more of your child's ability prior to the two days of evaluations at try outs.
